2018 Camp Guidelines

Bethany Summer Youth Camp (BSYC)
Guidelines for Campers
POLICIES

I. ConductAs we participate in a Christ-centered camp, we want to display the character of the Lord Jesus Christ to each other and to everyone we encounter. This means being polite and courteous and acting in the best interest of others.
II.  Work
Work projects involve hard work, and each camper should be prepared to give 100% on the project. (Colossians 3:23 “Work hard and cheerfully at all you do just as though you are working for the Lord and not merely for your masters.”)
III. Team AssignmentsWhile every effort will be made to honor a request, the camp director will make adjustments as needed to adequately fill teams. His/her decision is final.
IV. DisciplineObedience to the rules and team leaders is required. Practical jokes, horseplay, etc., are not acceptable. The first offense of inappropriate behavior results in missing swimming time; the second offense results in the camper’s dismissal from BSYC at the parents’ expense. Camp will be a load of fun for those who comply with the rules!
V. Pairing OffDating and pairing off (boy/girl, girl/girl, boy/boy) are not permitted. This policy allows each camper to get to know a greater number of people.
VI. LossesBSYC is not responsible for any camper’s lost, stolen, or damaged property or money.
VII. DevotionsPersonal and group devotions will be carried out daily. This is a great time for
reflection on God and His purposes for us; it sets the spiritual tone for the day.
